RADICAL THERAPY FOR AFRICA’S LOOKALIKE
As he lay on his sickbed in Loughborough in the English Midlands in April 2020, battling with COVID-19, the author, a medical doctor, brooded over various issues, including the never-ending misery of his native Africa.
In what can be described as an extraordinary extraterrestrial visitation, he is suddenly transposed into the past, back to his junior doctor’s days in Germany. He finds himself driving in his car through the little German town, Stadtoldendorf, 70 kilometres to the southwest of the city of Hannover, on his once-a-week home-visit rounds to patients who for various reasons are unable to attend the Family Doctor’s practice.
After driving along the roads displaying the familiar scenery of a typical developed western European town for a while, the scene suddenly changes. Suddenly he finds himself driving through a thick jungle along a dusty road full of gaping potholes.
Just at the outskirts of a settlement, his journey is brought to an abrupt end by a puncture.
To his amazement, the shapes of the heads of residents who pour onto the street to come to his aid resemble the outline maps of various African countries!
Follow the extraordinary development as he is called upon to cure a mysterious condition afflicting one of the most prominent residents of the community.
A remarkable story, a political fiction extraordinaire!
